![]() Stamping hard brittle materials 0.0005” thick now possible.
The Problem: Stamping this very hard, thin material using conventional technologies resulted in high burr, material cracking, hairline fissures, bowed parts and very short tool life. Feeding the material using a servo roll feed and pilot punches caused additional fractures and did not provide the accuracy required. The Solution: Using our high velocity Bullet Press technology requires less force punching the material. This solved the flatness, burr, material cracking, and hairline fissures problems. Using a precision Uni-Guide dieset ensured ultimate tool life. Our precision Linear Servo Gripper feed was ideal for feeding the thin fragile material. The feed accuracy eliminated the need for pilot punches, reducing cost as well as eliminating problems generally caused by pilot punches.
